Why is it important to provide our parrot with a wooden stand?

• Parrots are meant to live on trees — not on metal bars.

• It provides them with a place for physical activity.

• It keeps them occupied and helps prevent them from chewing on other things around the house, such as furniture and household items.

• The different tree branches help maintain healthy feet because they vary in thickness and texture, unlike the uniform perches found in cages, which can cause degeneration of the feet.

• Chewing wood provides a sense of security and personal satisfaction and supports mental well-being. Wood chewing keeps the parrot busy and helps prevent excessive feather picking (which can lead to plucking).

A wooden stand is decorative in the home and much more natural, beautiful, and blends in like a real piece of furniture.

The choice of wood is based on two factors:

1. It must be safe for the parrot to chew — non-toxic wood that has not been treated or sprayed.

2. It must be strong and durable over time, not soft wood that the parrot can destroy quickly.

Each stand is one of a kind and handmade after an initial consultation with the client and according to their needs.
The preparation process requires planning, preparing the necessary branches, disinfecting them, and the construction itself, and usually takes between one to three weeks.

Please note that for a large stand that does not fit into a standard vehicle, transportation will need to be arranged.
