Identification signs to be noticed to rule out a health problem in parrots:

- The parrot should be active and alert and not sleepy during daytime hours.
- The parrot's eyes should be bright and open without discharge or swelling.
- Perform an examination of the sternum that is not too prominent (severe emaciation may indicate a disease).
- The parrot's feathers should be neat and beautiful without baldness or plucking.
- The parrot should stand on the stick and not on the bottom of the cage.
- Check that there are no missing fingers or nails and that the wings sit well in place.
- Parrots should have clean nostrils without secretions.
- The beak area of the parrot should be clean without feces residues.
-Very liquid stool or a different color may indicate a problem.
