Bareket's Animals

In 2020, with the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, a nationwide lockdown was implemented, forcing me to close the petting zoo. Without any income for several months, I was unable to continue paying the high rent at the location, and I had to make the difficult decision to vacate. I was not willing to compromise on the care of my animals, and I couldn’t wait for the situation to worsen to the point where I wouldn’t be able to meet their needs.

Today, my animals and I live peacefully in a moshav, where I dedicate my time and love to their care. I am still engaged in breeding hand-fed parrots and imprinting/breeding purebred rabbits and reptiles. I offer consulting services and run a professional exotic pet boarding facility, I am active on social media, and I am always ready to assist any breeder and answer any questions with joy.

who am i

Hi, my name is Barkat, very pleasant. Livestock breeder with over 10 years of experience in the field. I am the owner of Mamlahia [=

I started my path as a graphic designer but very quickly realized that I was meant to be where my heart has always been since I was a child and that is in the company of animals.

I graduated from the management of live corners and a veterinary technician and decided to make my dream come true.

The name Mamalhia was created from the combination of the words Malka-Hiya.

After searching for a suitable place and long research, I opened Mamalahia in 2018. My goal was to open a different and special animal corner where families could come and enjoy an animal in a free enclosure without bars. For me, the main thing that led to Mamlahya is the conditions of the animals in my possession and the mission to teach how to properly treat them. While maintaining these highlights, a magical place was built that allowed people to enter and experience the magical world of animals up close. Mamalhia was the only indoor living corner in the country. It catered to both visiting families and pet owners.
